Giulio Barbieri S.r.l. gets even greener with 16,574 tons of CO₂ less per year.
Throughout its history, Giulio Barbieri S.r.l. has worked with increasing momentum to determine an ecological footprint geared toward a new lifestyle, based on systems equipped with renewable energy sources.
This path has led us towards the progressive self-production of energy, reductions in energy consumption, and a reduction in TEP and CO₂.
To achieve this goal, a series of energy diagnoses were developed to analyze the energy consumption of equipment and facilities. Then a series of interventions were carried out that could direct change. Thus, in the year 2018, thanks to financial instruments and D support R& from the European Regional Development Fund financing, a 15-kW photovoltaic system supported by a condensing generator combined with a heat pump boiler was installed.
Upgrades have been constant; in the year 2020, thanks to Energy Fund financing, the photovoltaic system was upgraded and integrated with a higher-performance 92 kW solution. The following year, in 2021, saw the installation of three 100-kW condensing generators.
To date, the photovoltaic system has been supplemented, through grants from the Energy Fund, with an additional 80-kW system. The latter intervention in particular provides energy savings of 38,260 kWh and 7.15 TOE per year, and avoids the production of 16,574 kg of CO₂.
